PROJECTS & WORK

Arts Ananda Trust is working towards raising funds for 'Disappearing Dialogues', a public art and awareness project that involves a series of interactions with nature, people and objects. Initiated by artist Nobina Gupta, this public art project for the last 3-4 years, has been motivating people to take a proactive stance and stimulating a cultural response, engaging the public to preserve cultural, natural heritage and traditional practices that are hastily disappearing. Through various workshops, exhibitions, collaborations and interactive sessions it aims to reflect on contemporary life, development and sustainable living.

The trust gave a scholarship to Dushyant Patel who has a post diploma in print making from Fine Arts Faculty, M.S. University, Baroda, Gujarat in 2009. He was given a monthly stipend for two years and the gallery held an exhibition of his works at the end of his scholarship.

The trust has also given a donation to Natya Vriksha, an organisation run by dancer Geeta Chandran which is making great effort towards promoting Bharat Natyam, training a whole new group of young dancers every year.

The trust gave a donation of INR 5,00,000/- in order to promote Milan Singh and Uday Singh, ceramic artists working in collaboration with Art Ichol, Madhya Pradesh. This amount was to support the artists' nine month residency/workshop.

The trust also made a contribution to artist/print maker, Yashpal Chandrakar to aid him in paying the fee for his son's education, who is studying sculpture at the Government College of Art, New Delhi.
